Sleepwear you'll actually sleep in
Nightgowns, pyjamas, sleep shirts and robes, in fabrics chosen for how they feel at 3 a.m., not how they look on a hanger. Amarettos in Dundas carries cotton and soft-knit sleepwear for women over 50, including the front-opening styles people ask for after surgery, and it is the easiest thing in the shop to buy for somebody else.
What we carry
- Nightgowns, short and long, in cotton and soft knits, with sleeves for winter and without for summer.
- Pyjama sets, button-front and pull-on, in cotton, flannel and modal blends.
- Sleep shirts, the oversized-t-shirt style that half our customers have switched to.
- Robes, lightweight for summer and hospital stays, plush for winter.
Stock is seasonal: lighter fabrics from spring, flannel and fleece from October. Call (905) 627-1150 for what's in today.
Fabric is the whole decision
If you run hot at night, cotton and modal breathe and wick; avoid polyester satin no matter how nice it looks. If you run cold, flannel and brushed cotton hold warmth without weight. Our guide to choosing sleepwear goes through the fabrics one by one.
The gift that always works
Sleepwear is the easiest thing in the shop to buy for someone else, because fit is forgiving and nobody has too much of it. A good nightgown or pyjama set in her size, or a robe, is the safest gift we sell. If you know her usual top size, that's enough. More on buying for your mother.
Hospital and recovery
Button-front pyjamas and front-opening nightgowns are what to bring for a hospital stay or recovery from surgery: easy on and off, no pulling over the head. Ask us for front-opening styles.
